The Oilers brass has sent out offers to a couple of players who are pondering them as we speak.
The offer sent out to Ladislav Smid is in the ball park for just under 2 million a season-In the 1.925 million mark.
The other offer has been to Gilbert Brule. Although he wants a 1-way contract the oilers are hesitant to give him that. The offer he recieved from the Oilers is a 1 year contract at 800K.
Personally I think both contract offers are legit. Brule has 1 year to show his worth and land a decent extension with a good year, and Smid gets a good raise with the opportunity of a bigger raise come 2 years.
